As a kaitiaki of the play, active recreation and sport system, Sport NZ is committed to making sure everyone can participate in ways that are safe, fair and welcoming. 

We support organisations to build safe, fair and inclusive environments by providing education, policy development and system-wide guidance.

About the Sport Integrity Commission – Te Kahu Raunui 

The Sport Integrity Commission – Te Kahu Raunui is an independent Crown entity that promotes fairness and safety in sport and recreation in Aotearoa New Zealand.  

It helps organisations understand and manage integrity issues, like: 

  • anti-doping
  • bullying and harassment
  • discrimination
  • child safeguarding
  • competition manipulation
  • sports betting.

The Commission also provides tools to build a strong integrity culture, including policy templates for safeguarding, child protection, member protection, complaints and disciplinary processes.
